While the arrival of monsoon brings overcast skies and lush greenery that usually evades the city, it more often than not dampens the fashion spirit around. However, monsoon doesn’t have to mean drab and there’s a lot to work around with while sticking within the realm of practicality. The weather has started to cool off slightly – just enough to change from sweltering hot to perfect vacation weather. And Luckily we live in a place where we can wear summer dresses all year round. So on this rainy Saturday, I decided to go with a floral dress along with a beige net cover up.
Everyone loves going the ‘bright colour’ way during monsoon. While that’s definitely a great idea, think differently this time around. Pastels and muted shades with a pop of colour work just as beautifully against the gloomy skies. Keeping it simple yet stylish, I paired this floral print dress from Zara with hints of green and just loved how it complimented the season.(Not to forget how practical this is for the season)… Adding a pop of colour definitely makes a statement.
The rich colors of the teeny flowers on the dress transforms it into a stand-out piece. Bright buds pop against the pastel background making it look ultra gorgeous. Team it up with flats and a nice sling bag to step out in style. Also add a thin belt if you want to accentuate your waist area and give it that narrow waist illusion.
